Enamelled Copper Wire or Enamelled Aluminum Wire is used to make transformers, inductors, motors, headphones, loudspeakers, hard drive head positionable, potentiometers, and electromagnets, among other things. Enamelled wire is encased in a thin layer of insulation. To create a robust, continuous insulating layer, enamelled copper wire often has one to three layers of polymer film insulation.
